Travel baseball

Baseball teams built for development and competition.

Adirondack Heat offers season-by-season travel baseball opportunities from 8U through college-age divisions, with professional coaching and a focus on finding the right competitive fit.

AGE GROUPS

8U through college

The organization expects to field teams from 8U and older, with some age-specific exceptions depending on the season and player participation.

SEASONS

Spring • Summer • Fall

Baseball opportunities are organized by season rather than requiring a full-year commitment.

COACHING

Professional staff

Each team has a professional coaching staff, with training supported by indoor and outdoor facilities.

Competition

Challenge without losing the development focus.

Adirondack Heat has competed in different GHVBL divisions and aims to match teams with appropriate local opponents. Most teams participate in at least one local tournament, while older teams may add more tournament competition when appropriate.

Past tournament venues have included Baseball Heaven, Connecticut Sportsplex, Diamond Nation, Firecracker Sports, Maplezone Sports Institute, The Rock Sports Park, USABL, Perfect Game and Ripken Aberdeen.

Typical season rhythm

Time commitment varies by team.

  • Spring: indoor winter workouts, then outdoor practices and games.
  • Summer: weeknight games or practices plus weekend competition.
  • Fall: practices and games after Labor Day through late October/early November, weather permitting.
  • Two practices a week is a general philosophy during Spring/Fall.
Tryouts: the organization has historically held Spring tryouts in November/December, Summer tryouts in April/May, and Fall tryouts in July/August. Dates can change by season, so contact the organization for current information.
